Hatinya PKK Park Has 48 Varieties of Medicinal Plants

There are 48 varieties of medicinal plants were planted at Hatinya PKK Park of Rawa Bunga Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta.

Local residents often use those plants to make medicine, cook, for education, and others

Rawa Bunga Urban Village Head, Agustina mentioned, those plants are coleus, katuk (sauropus androgynus), cat's whiskers plant, snake plant (sansevieria), moringa oleifera, red ginger, and ginseng.

Besides, there are also rare trees planted in this park such as menteng, black plum, bignay, kokosan, durian, and soursop.

For hydroponic vegetables, there are water spinach, bok choy, spinach and others.

"Local residents often use those plants to make medicine, cook, for education, and others," she explained, Tuesday (11/5).

Every day, she continued, two Public Facility Maintenance (PPSU) personnel take care of the park by cleaning the park, trimming and watering the plants.

"We want to add its variety until 60 types of plants," she stated.
